Heating UpIt was a scorcher today, a far cry from the cool rain storm from last week. At least I'm inside, enjoying both the air conditioning and an iced mocha. There wasn't much company here aside from the barista behind the counter and a few couples seated at the large windows, which took up the whole front of the shop. Convenient for me, since I spent my time glancing out every couple of seconds.Heating Up
She texted me this morning, saying she was able to get today off work. I replied, telling her that I'd meet her at our usual place, and that it's been too long since I've looked into her eyes. Knowing her, she probably rolled them upon reading that,

The incessant chatter has made me swoon

I thought she'd give a stronger start At centerlineA Practice Bout

Somehow the sea air makes the traffic and congestion of this town more bearable. It was certainly preferable to my hometown. The clouds overhead threatened a downpour any second, but perhaps the wind will blow it off course. That didn't matter at all to me, so long as I had this beautiful girl by my side.Cooling Off
